King Mohamed VI to launch free vaccination campaign in Morocco



King of Morocco, Mohamed VI, will give on Thursday, January 28, the effective start of the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 within the country, a statement by the Royal Office said.


"Following reception of different batches, the Covid-19 vaccine is available in sufficient quantity in the Kingdom of Morocco to start the national vaccination campaign in the best conditions” said the statement adding that “In accordance with the High Royal Instructions, this vaccination campaign will be free for all citizens”.


According to the statement, the vaccination campaign will take place gradually and will benefit all Moroccan citizens and foreigners living in the kingdom aged between 17 and over 75 years adding that “This will make it possible to achieve the expected levels of collective immunization and protect the population against this pandemic”.


After this statement, it is expected that the national campaign of vaccination will start tomorrow or after tomorrow in all Moroccan regions, and that will make Morocco the first African to start the vaccination campaign against covid-19.
