Moroccan high-level delegation to visit Israel in February
A Moroccan high-level- delegation would visit Israel in February, the Moroccan Official News Agency MAP said on Friday.
According to the same source, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad Nasser Bourita held, on Friday, a phone conversation with Israel's National Security Adviser Meir Ben Shabbat, on many issues of shared interest.
“The two officials agreed to set up working groups that will work on the conclusion of cooperation agreements in many areas, notably investment, agriculture, water, environment, tourism, science, innovation and energy. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, these working groups will meet online”, Said MAP.
MAP pointed out that “a Moroccan high-level delegation will visit Israel as soon as possible, probably in February, to finalize the terms of these agreements.” Adding that “An Israeli delegation, led by Ben Shabbat, is also expected in Morocco in February.”
The talks between Bourita and Ben Shabbat were an opportunity to discuss the huge potential of cooperation that will benefit not only Morocco and Israel, but also the entire region, according to MAP.
